Welcome to our Summer newsletter.

This season brings an exciting calendar of events for all the family to enjoy.

Come rain or shine there's great fun to be had. Splash through the puddles and have fun playing Strid Wood I Spy, or build sandcastles by the riverside.

Why not make use of the new Summer Family Pass. For only £30 enjoy a summer full of fun and free, daily admission to Bolton Abbey.

Valid from 23rd July to 4th September (Inclusive). The pass gives the card holder (and all the passengers within the car) free admission to all three Estate car parks.

Messy Mondays

Messy Mondays art and craft activities for children are taking place from 11am till 3pm inside the Cavendish Pavilion every Monday in the Summer Holidays.

Activities include: decorating biscuits, making doorstops and paper weights, making stained glass windows and picture postcards.

Wild Wednesday

For those outdoor explorers who enjoy discovering what lives in the woods or river, come along and take part in our children trails or hands on activities taking place every Wednesday throughout the Summer Holidays.

Kite Making
 

Funday Fridays

Have great outdoor fun down by the Cavendish Pavilion and enjoy our large family outdoor games.

For only £2 a kite, why not let the children make their very own kite at our kite making workshops. Let them bounce off excess energy on the bouncy castle for only £1 a go!

For those who enjoy a leisurely walk why not start your visit at Dusty Bluebells (Strid Car Park) See if you can complete the family activity trail!

 
 

Family Outdoor Theatre

Fantastic Mr Fox
Friday 1st July, 6pm

Sit back and enjoy Roald Dahl's tale of the witty fox that manages to outwit his neighbours by stealing food from under their noses.

Bring your own picnic while you watch the show. Remember this is a British summer so suncream, midge cream and thermals!

Family Outdoor Theatre

Snow White
Saturday 30th July, 5pm

Can the fairest of them all be saved from a jealous queen’s revenge? Find out at our family open-air theatre show. This will be held on the edge of Strid Wood by the riverside, opposite the Cavendish Pavilion.

Children can come along in fancy dress and join in the fairy tales parade during the show.

Walk Ten
Marie Curie Cancer Care

Sunday 28th August

Join us for a sponsored 10k walk and help Marie Curie continue providing care for terminally ill patients in our area.

Enjoy a twilight stroll and an evening of family entertainment by the Cavendish Pavilion riverside.

Finish with a firework display at 10pm to remember the nurses and people they help.
