Bolton Abbey Spring is in the air

Bluebells, daffodils and bright green new growth - a great time to follow one of our many nature trails or wander around the Priory.

Welcome to our 2011 Spring Newsletter.

The team at Bolton Abbey have been busy getting ready for the start of the season by downing tools and donning fluorescent jackets for our annual mass litter pick.

Led by the Duke of Devonshire, the team walked over 18½ miles of roadside verges, amassing a total of 200 bags of general waste, which represents a mere 0.75% of the litter collected on the Estate in 2010.
